The thing about white privilege is that white people don’t see it. “White privilege” doesn’t mean your life hasn’t been hard, it simply means that your skin color isn’t one of the things making it harder.

Raised as a white Anglo Saxon protestant, Pat Iyer broke cultural, religious, and racial barriers when she married a South Indian Brahmin Hindu in 1970.
Raj and Pat Iyer have been married 50 years. They raised their 2 sons in a lily-white New Jersey community. This discussion is about how that affected their children.
