Replays Session 2 - February 22, 2023

Do you want to get ahead?
Next session we will begin work on your presentations.

Take one of your talk titles and begin creating that talk. Start with:

What are you offering?  What is your call to action? Have a free option and a paid option. For example, free is your lead magnet; paid is an ebook or something from your library of content and a 1:1 session with you.
How will you open your talk? Use the Preparation worksheet listed here and fill out the pieces under “Tell Them What You’re Going to Tell Them.”
Easiest way to start is with 2 questions that speak to what the audience wants.

Opening Example: Raise your hand if you’d like more clients? And keep your hand up if you want that to be a stead stream of clients who love working with you and referring you to others?

Session 3 - March 8, 2023

Session 3 Action Items:

Consider your powerful opening for an interview - usually to the question: What inspired you to ______ [write the book, do what you do, etc.)

This could be: (a) a short story (b) statistic or date (c) your "Tribe" statement (d) one or two questions the audience would say "yes" to (you'd phrase this like: I imagine if I asked the listeners here, "Would you like your energy to go up and your blood pressure to go down?" most everyone would say yes.

Gather statistics, data, quotes and stories to share.

These will support and edify your point of view.

Consider what you offer beyond your free gift.

This will be something at a low price point, between $1 and $40, and then also something higher up to $99.

Write it out (remember to use the Presentation Planning worksheet).
Consider what you will say on each of your three (3) main points.
What statistics, quotes, stories go with each point and how will you position them in your presentation / interview.
Be clear on the benefits and your free gift or your offer.

Session 4 - March 22, 2023

Session 4 Action Items:

Go back and make any adjustments to your opening grabber and introduction now that you've practiced with the group and have heard others and have gotten feedback.


Take one of your titles, description and bullet points you'll share with the audience. Begin crafting what you will say for each of those main points.

*Remember as Les Brown says, "Have a story for every point and a point for every story!"

List all of the benefits of your offer so that when you make your offer you are compelling and your audience will respond with yes, yes, yes!

*Remember the power of the "SO THAT" - sharing the benefits not just the features. For example:

Use your Preparation Worksheet as a guide and continue to sketch out your conversation with each of your main points, referring to problems/desires and then sharing a story or eample that illustrates it so that your audience can relate to it. 

The best examples are of a client or person with that challenge/desire that you or your product/service were able to help, share that. All these illustrations will point to your solution, your offer.

Be sure you are building your case so that people really see the problems they may be experiencing and the desires that are unfulfilled.

Use statistics to shore up your points and illustrate your case. They have got to see the problem before they are willing to buy your solution.
For example, if you want to entice people to work with you so they get what they want and get past whatever is stopping them, share that 92% of people don’t reach their goals (I got this stat from a survey from Inc Mag – it’s all on google – just look for what you want). Which means, you’re not alone AND that you can’t do it alone.
Use  quotes: It’s one thing if you say it, it’s more credible when there’s a statistic or quote from a well-known or credible source that agrees with you. One of the things we say at WPN is that ‘the only reason to start a business is to do something better than anyone else can.’ We use a quote from E-Myth author, Michael Gerber to add credibility and to validate to that assertion.
Consider where you can ‘seed’ your products and services, your client stories are an easy place to do that. Each of your main points and subpoints have a for instance, a story or a testimonial. Be sure those are rich and bring the situation to life. See attached “Story Formula” for the template/format.
Remember, all roads lead to working with you further so you’ll want to share examples of what happens for people when they do.

MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR EFFORTS NOW:  Type up or record your opening and what you’ll say for each of your points. If you’re up for it, write it down word for word or as an outline you can comfortably speak from. Talk it out, repeat it again. Edit it. Time it. Adjust it. When you know what you’ll say and how long it takes to say it you’ll be YES! READY.

Session 5 - April 12, 2023

1. Now that you have heard others share their content for the body of their interview/talk and you have shared yours and gotten feedback, go back and make any adjustments. Be sure that for each main point you have a relatable for instance, example or client story to illustrate that point. 

2. You are clear on what your audience wants in terms of the challenges they have and their desires, and you’ve crafted your content to support what you want them to know so they can get to their solution. You’ve built credibility with statistics, stories and quotes that all edify your point of view and clearly illustrate the problem you solve for them.

Now let’s begin crafting your influential close to invite them to continue working with you, whether that’s your free lead-magnet, a free or paid consult or for a paid product/service. You want to ensure you share the benefits of what that service/product will do for them.

You are in the home stretch now! Congratulations on putting together an inspiring invitation that moves people to take action. 

One of the most compelling things you can share to shift people to action is stories. Stories (aka testimonials) of others who have had success with your product/service.


And the other compelling story is yours! What motivated you to do what you do, why you are so passionate about it and what it’s done for you.

Now let’s begin crafting your influential close to invite them to continue working with you, whether that’s your free lead-magnet, a free or paid consult or for a paid product/service. You want to ensure you share the benefits of what that service/product will do for them.
